Application and Product Development


Within the last eighteen months, Lawrence Associates has expanded our offerings to include Application Development leveraging our team of senior developers and architects specializing in:
  • Sharepoint site setup and administration, branding and navigation, content creation, development including master pages, page templates, style sheets, web parts, AJAX, XSL, etc.
  • Silverlight conceptual designs, high-end animations, complete applications or individual controls6tight integration and interaction with SharePoint sites and content.
  • ASP.NET feature-rich sites implementing modern day techniques like social networking, cloud computing, and software as a service.

Recent Success Stories
  • Established a SharePoint 2007 portal used by 11,000+ Microsoft Sales personnel worldwide. Built 15 cutting-edge Silverlight controls to dramatically improve the publishing, discovery and presentation of over 17,000 documents. We radically improved average page-load time from 45 seconds to less than 2 seconds.
  • Created a streaming-video e-Learning site used by thousands of Microsoft employees and partners. Done entirely in Silverlight, the student’s progress is seamlessly tracked and reported to the central SCORM infrastructure. Contains significant functionality for course owners to create and configure their own course-sets without developer involvement.

In FY10, Lawrence Associates will continue to evolve and grow this practice’s offering portfolio to include FAST and other solution integration. Additionally, we will expand our relationships with the WW field sales teams from BV consulting to also include supporting Microsoft clients in deployment the Microsoft solutions investments, initially emphasizing on portal and web initiatives. Further, from our extensive BV engagements, Lawrence Associates has collected Microsoft add on research data and will begin leveraging our dev teams’ excellence & innovative thought leadership to initiate development of MOSS add-on’s among other product development.
